Synology Inc. announces the availability of the FS3600 storage system, the latest in the all-flash FlashStation family of network attached storage servers. FS3600 delivers over 195,000 4K random write IOPS and supports scaling up to 72 drives, delivering a cost-effective solution for database, virtual machine, OLTP, and other I/O sensitive deployments, built to tackle environments demanding low latency storage.
"While capacity and scalability have always been important, demand for faster and more responsive storage solutions has made bandwidth and response times a crucial factor even for common business applications today," said Michael Wang, Product Manager at Synology Inc. "With a competitive TCO, the FS3600 is built to meet demanding performance requirements while still having enough expansion for future storage needs."
Raw power for mission-critical workloads
The FS3600 is designed to support a wide range of applications that require high-bandwidth and low-latency storage, such as virtualisation, big data analysis, OLTP, deep learning and AI training, or high-resolution video-post production with an Intel® Xeon® 12-core processor and support for up to 56GbE networking.
Scalability: Up to 72 drives1
10GbE built-in: 2 x 10GbE and 4 x 1GbE ports
Up to 56GbE support: Supports 10/25/40/56GbE add-in-cards2
Performance: Over 195,000 iSCSI 4K random write IOPS
Integrated data protection and availability
Synology data management solutions simplify the deployment and protection of critical business infrastructure.
VM, SaaS, and endpoint protection
Centralised backup solutions protect VMware and Hyper-V virtual machines, Windows endpoints, Microsoft 365, and G Suite accounts. Manage all backup tasks from a single portal and restore operations quickly with flexible recovery methods.
Prevent data loss
Integration with VMware and Windows Server environments provide simpler storage management and application-consistent data protection. Snapshot Replication enables Shared Folder and LUN protection for general workloads.
Maximise service availability
Pairing the FS3600 with another identical unit creates a high-availability cluster. The active/passive architecture ensures automatic service transition within seconds of a device failure.
