ManageEngine, the IT management division of Zoho Corporation, announced that ADManager Plus, its Active Directory (AD) management and reporting solution, can now back up and recover all AD objects, including users, OUs, GPOs, groups and their members.
Apart from creating, modifying and deprovisioning objects in AD, administrators can now back up objects belonging to multiple domains and recover deleted objects, all from a single console.
Not having a backup and recovery solution can damage or even break businesses trying to recover from malicious threats or honest mistakes. Depending on the nature of the business, downtime caused by ransomware, vengeful employees or other threats can cost an estimated $100,000 to $3.5 million per hour, according to a Forrester Market Study. Likewise, manually finding and fixing accidentally deleted user accounts, erroneously modified user privileges and other IT team mistakes can be time-consuming and error prone.
