Amity will be able to develop more robust, complex, and innovative features in its flagship product, Amity Social Cloud, thanks to Neo4j.
Founded in Thailand, Amity caters to over 10 million monthly active users globally. Amity delivers more than 3 billion messages per month for hundreds of large enterprises worldwide. The fast-growing scaleup recorded a 200% year-on-year growth during 2020-21, with its sights set on rapid expansions in the US and Europe buoyed by marquee client wins. It is also one of the first in APAC to adopt Neo4j’s Aura Enterprise – a fully managed graph database as a service.
Touchapon Kraisingkorn, CTO & Head of Professional Services at Amity, said, “We’re thrilled to collaborate with Neo4j. We believe that Neo4j’s expertise in graph data platform will be instrumental in delivering new valuable products for our customers. Choosing Neo4j as our sole social graph database platform will warrant deeper, actionable insights for our clients, enriching social engagement with their audiences. Its outstanding performance and ease of use empower us to build all the features that we envision. We’re confident that together, we can accomplish our mission to revolutionize social experiences anywhere in the world.”
Neo4j Aura Enterprise has equipped Amity with the ability to create a new custom post ranking system. This alternative approach to rank posts is based on a different set of criteria – including engagement rate, popularity, or other predefined benchmarks tailored on a specific user account – rather than the standard reverse chronological order ranking algorithms. The result is better flexibility and more options for Amity’s customers.
“Custom post ranking is one of the most requested features from both existing and prospective clients. Adding this capability to our portfolio will benefit our business and will provide improved social experiences for our clients and their users,” Kraisingkorn said. “Furthermore, Neo4j Aura Enterprise enables our clients to cost-effectively deploy scalable solutions in multiple regions in real time.”
Neo4j continues to experience strong uptake of its graph data platform in Asia Pacific across the board - from developers who embrace its free Community Edition to enterprises for full-featured, premium solutions.
“We are delighted to be selected by Amity alongside others like Levi Strauss & Co., NASA, and UBS who have trusted Neo4j to deliver secure, mission-critical systems at scale. With the value our technology immediately provides, we can supercharge Amity to build stronger online communities, drive better social engagement, and ultimately deliver new heights of social innovation,” Nik Vora, Neo4j Asia Pacific Vice President, said.
“The trust Amity has put in Neo4j is indicative of the continued, strong demand for our technology in the region. Today, leading organisations in Asia Pacific – including AirAsia, Standard Chartered, and Starhub – rely on our graph data platform in the areas of data analytics, fraud detection, hyper-personalisation, and more. As we grow at a rapid pace, we look forward to delivering real-world outcomes to customers with technology that leads in scale, quality, and accuracy,” Vora added.
