These same trusted, rugged and reliable systems are now available with the latest Intel SSD DC solid-state drives with high-density 2nd Gen Intel 3D NAND technology, including the new P4500, P4600, S4500, and S4600 Series.
Designed for the most challenging and data-intensive workloads, Intel SSD DC P4500 and P4600 Series high-performance, high-bandwidth SSDs feature an all-new controller, unique firmware, and the PCI Express (PCIe)-based Non-Volatile Memory Express (NVMe) host controller interface/storage protocol. NVMe brings data directly to Intel Xeon processors to achieve fast input/output operations per second (IOPS), increasing performance and reducing latency for near-real-time results, and enhances reliability with power-loss detection and soft-error mitigation.
The Intel Volume Management Device (VMD) integrated performance accelerator provides "hot plug" capability to help minimize interruptions during drive swaps and maximize uptime and serviceability. P4500 and P4600 Series SSDs are now available in half-height/half-length add-in card and U.2 2.5-inch form factors in 1TB, 1.6TB, 2TB, 3.2TB, and 4TB capacities.
The new Intel SSD DC S4500 and S4600 Series help to preserve legacy infrastructure while speeding and streamlining the transition, in whole or part, from legacy hard disk drives (HDDs) to solid-state drives (SSDs).
