June Special Focus - Hyper-converged Infrastructure supported by NetApp

Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI) is no longer new. Some of the “pioneer” HCI companies have been consumed by the larger OEMs and the technology is well understood. IT professionals that get exposed to the concept of hyper-converged technology quickly identify the benefits. Analyses point to four key benefits that have been responsible for early HCI adoption, namely lower cost of ownership, ease of deployment, ease of scaling, and improved operational efficiency.

These drivers are operational in nature, and early adoption in HCI was largely driven by IT departments and CIOs who could see how HCI offered simplicity and scalability with reduced overheads.
