Nutanix held a networking cum Chinese New Year gathering to usher in the year of the Fiery Chicken with its partners at CHAZE, Menara Lien Hoe. Dubbed as the 'Feast of Good Fortune', the event was well received by those attending who were spoilt for choice with good food and free flow of drinks all night.
The night saw attendees participating in games and lucky draw prizes were also given out at the end of the night.
Even though Nutanix had a successful IPO earlier this year, we still include them among the new wave of disruptive vendors that are genuinely changing the IT landscape. It is clear from the mood of the evening that Nutanix Partners also sense that disruption and excitement. Corporate IT is changing, the datacentre and the technology on which it is built can no longer be static. Business models are changing at a rapid rate and business itself is built on technology. The datacentre must be as flexible and adaptable as the business itself. That’s where Nutanix comes in, using hyper converged technology to deliver what is now described as web scale infrastructure.
The technology is genuinely transformative and according to Nutanix partners once IT professionals take the time to actually consider the Nutanix offering with its ease of management, flexibility and scalability, they ey are truly shocked at how it enables them to build IT infrastructure that scales just like public cloud.
The partners that attended understand this and by all accounts they have been working hard to spread the message far and wide. The evening laid on by Nutanix comes under the heading of "work hard play hard". Nutanix and their partners it seems are on a mission to show the world what their technology can do, but this evening was more about Nutanix saying thanks to its partners and "letting their hair down" if only for an evening.
We recorded a few photos for posterity - see below !
